I visited the Royal Car Museum as part of the Sa'ad Abad Complex, which is a historical and cultural attraction in Tehran. The museum is located in a former garage of the royal family, and displays some of the luxury cars that they owned or used. The museum is not very big, but it has some interesting and rare models of cars from different countries and eras.

The museum has a collection of about 10 cars, mostly Mercedes-Benz and Rolls-Royce, but also some other brands like Cadillac, Lincoln, and Chrysler. Some of the cars have historical significance, such as the Mercedes-Benz 600 that was used by Mohammad Reza Pahlavi during his coronation ceremony in 1967, or the Rolls-Royce Phantom IV that was a gift from Queen Elizabeth II to the Shah in 1959. Some of the cars have unique features, such as the Mercedes-Benz 300 SL that has gull-wing doors, or the Chrysler Imperial that has a bullet-proof glass partition.

The museum also has some motorcycles and a snowmobile that were used by the royal family for recreational purposes. The motorcycles include a Harley-Davidson and a BMW, while the snowmobile is a Bombardier Ski-Doo. The museum also has some photos and documents related to the cars and their owners, such as registration papers, licenses, and invoices

The museum is not very crowded, and you can easily see all the cars in less than an hour. The museum staff are friendly and helpful, and can provide some information about the cars if you ask them.

I enjoyed visiting the Royal Car Museum, as I am interested in cars and history. I think it is a good place to see some of the cars that were once owned by the rulers of Iran, and to learn more about their lifestyle and preferences. The museum is not very impressive or comprehensive, but it is worth a visit if you are in the Sa'ad Abad Complex. I would rate it 3.5...

first of all it wasn't bad, you are going to see one Mercedes w198 convertible which was in a good condition, plus four other Mercedes w100 s600 Grosser and Pullman and several Rolls-Royces. but the downside is the diversity of the cars is very limited, less than 15 I can say also a couple of motorbikes and tiny bikes for kids you can't call this lidl collection a museum. because Pahlavi's Kings especially the son had many many special cars. I know some are in other museums but still a lot of them are mist. you can see some signs of vandalism on the cars. broken and missed logos of messages and rolls royces just were a couple of them. it was very sadand unfortunately the museum didn't do anything to fix or replace the missing parts. 1 other funny facts was they had for 600 Mercedes and and they arrange them all faced to the visitors, I am surprised that nobody in this museum think that someone might to see the rear view of this special car, since the visitors are not allowed to go over the short glass walls, it was making no sense. I asked the guard to let me pass and took a couple of photos from the rear view of the car but he...

I visited Royal car museum last month. Tucked inside the large compound of Sad Abad Palace in Tehran is the Royal Cars Museum where members of the audience can have an insight of the extravagant life with that of the Pahlavi dynasty. Through the museum, people can see a collection of luxury cars, including those that belonged to the royal family and came from Europe and the USA. Tourists shouldn’t miss the chance to observe these machines in a visionary form – a vintage Mercedes, a chrome-plated Rolls-Royce, leather-upholstered BMV. The museum will be interesting for lovers of cars and history alike as it reveals the atmosphere of riches and plenty of the royal family of the household. While the museum itself is relatively small, it is part of a larger complex that includes several other palaces and museums, making it a worthwhile destination for a day of exploration. The serene gardens and beautiful architecture of the Sad Abad Palace add to the overall experience, making it a memorable visit and I highly recommend visiting it😊
