Read moreTajrish Bazaar is without a doubt one of the most vibrant, colorful, and authentic places you can visit in northern Tehran. Whether you’re a local or a tourist, this place is a must-see if you want to experience the traditional heart of the city wrapped in the charm of the Shemiranat area. The bazaar beautifully blends old Tehran vibes with a hint of modernity. Cobblestone alleys, arched ceilings, and warm lighting make the whole space feel cozy and nostalgic. You’ll find everything here — from fresh fruits and vegetables arranged like artwork, to spices, nuts, pickles, sweets, traditional clothing, souvenirs, copperware, and even handmade crafts. One of my favorite parts is the fresh produce section — the variety and quality are unmatched. The vendors are generally friendly and happy to let you taste before buying. And yes, prices are a bit higher than southern bazaars, but the quality makes up for it. It’s also located right next to the Imamzadeh Saleh shrine, which adds a peaceful, spiritual contrast to the hustle and bustle of the market. Many people combine their visit to both the shrine and the bazaar in one trip — it’s a cultural experience on many levels. The food options around the bazaar are also excellent — from local street food like ash reshteh and faloodeh, to more modern cafés nearby. Don’t miss out on traditional ice cream or a glass of fresh pomegranate juice depending on the season. Just be prepared: it can get crowded on weekends and evenings, and parking is limited. Best to go early in the day or use public transportation (Tajrish Metro Station is a short walk away). All in all, Tajrish Bazaar is more than a market — it’s a slice of Iranian life, full of colors, smells, sounds, and stories. Highly recommended if you want to see a warm, human, and beautiful...
