Enjoyable boat ride but the view is a bit dependent on the weaather. Suitable for all ages and buggies are allowed on the boat. You can go to the back of the boat which is open if you want to take pictures and videos. The ride is for about an hour and the guide was knowledgeable. The boat leaves right beside the Ross castle.

We had a great time! It was super relaxed, informative and lots of fun for young and old, the kids on the boat even got a chance to steer. We booked in advance online which guaranteed seats and made boarding quick and easy. Felt it was really reasonable when compared to other boat trips in Kerry, would highly recommend.

Good, fairly quick boat ride around the lake. Ample seating under cover and out of the intermittent rain, plus knowledgeable tour guide on the area. Even managed to see a White Tailed Eagle, of which there are probably fewer than 100 in the wild! Recommend booking in advance, otherwise risk not getting tickets.

Worst customer service ever! At first a sincere warning: Don't book this experience in advance, you might end up very disappointed and with a spoiled day, since they decide from one minute to another, if they embark or cancel the tour! When we arrived at the dock, we were told, that the next boat tour would embark in 10 minutes. We booked our tour to the castle accordingly (for 90 minutes later). The young lady even told us, that besides us two, there would be only one other couple attending the boat ride and she advertised this as good luck, since we could choose the best seats and even switch seats for better pictures. We waited 10 minutes, then another 5, then another 5 .... after 20 minutes she came back and told us, that the tour is cancelled and the next one will be in one and a half hours. She merely shrugged, when we complained, that the whole procedure of letting us believe there would be a tour and even advertise it and the leave us waiting was not a nice thing to do and went away. I am aware that business is about profit and 4 passengers would not give you a great margin, but if you just care about profit and not the least about your customers needs, you soon will not have any business at all.......In my book, the way they handled the situation was unbelievably rude and with that they ruined our whole timing for the afternoon, I am just glad, that we did not pre book and paid in advance. Maybe these businesses around tourist hot spots are already too spoiled with the tons of tourists willingly paying whatever it takes and putting up with such manners at the same time, but I will not and so my best advice is still: Avoid...

This was one of the coolest ways to view the national park and learn about the ancient and modern history of the islands and the national park. I couldn't help but want to take photos every 5 seconds because we got such amazing views since we were cruising around the lake. Plus there's something so nice about not having to think of or look up the history of the place when you can go on a guided tour and learn from someone who probably knows more than you! Extremely enjoyable and would...

A truly wonderful experience, highly recommended. Very reasonably priced, Mike Tangney was there to provide a personal warm welcome that you only get in Killarney. Cathal, the captain on the day was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The kids even got to steer the boat when it was safe to do so. If you're visiting Killarney, be sure to take a trip on the Lilly of Killarney, you won't be disappointed. Take a ride on a jaunting car also, it is...
