We live in Killarney at the Hotel Inishfalen and have always dreamed of getting to the island of the same name. Thanks to our new friends we had a wonderful adventure - a boat trip to the island of Inishfalen. It was very beautiful: rocks, a lake, a pristine little island with the ruins of a monastery and a chapel. An incredible place for meditation, observation and relaxation. We are amazed at how the Irish care for their nature and the preservation of monuments. And we are impressed by the hospitality of local people and organizers Tadgh O'Connor and Derry Horgan from Gap of Dunloe Tours of the trip, Dave Ryan, @Katie Graham who received us so warmly. Thank you for a wonderful trip, bright emotions (which we need so much at this time) and wonderful photos and unforgettable memories! Thank you for your service! In the chapel on the island we found many coins that people leave with the intention to make their wishes come true. In Ukraine, people leave coins to return to that place. If you are on the outskirts of Inishfalen and see Ukrainian coins, know that we really liked this place and we dream of returning there someday. And if you want to visit there, the trips leave for the island every day from 10am. They leave from Reen Pier (where we were yesterday) every hour from 10am. Its just near Ross Castle ))))

Small island close to the Ross Castle. Innisfallen Island, a hidden jewel in the heart of Killarney's Lough Leane, offers a tranquil escape steeped in Irish history and natural beauty. This small island, accessible by boat, is home to the ancient Innisfallen Abbey, a former monastic retreat that dates back over a thousand years. The island's lush greenery, serene pathways, and the soothing sound of nature make it an idyllic spot for a leisurely stroll or a picnic. History and nature harmonize on Innisfallen Island, creating an enchanting experience for those seeking solace in the midst of the stunning Killarney National Park, making it a must-visit destination for history and nature enthusiasts.

Absolutely amazing little gem that's 100% worth the trip. A short scenic boat trip from Ross Castle across Lough Leane surrounded by scenery that will take your breath away. The island itself is so peaceful and tranquil with history & ruins everywhere of a life long gone by the monks. Our driver was full of knowledge & was very helpfu lwith everything. A herd of beautiful deer crossed our path on the island. Definitely an amazing trip, loved it & will go again 👌💚💛
