By far, the best historical tour I have ever went on. Kieran really brought history to life as we walked around the town. From pre famine times right up to the Civil War, we got a realistic account of what life was like for the inhabitants of Cobh. As opposed to a lot of museum tours that focus on facts, dates and key events, Kieran's tour includes what always seems to be missing at these places; the real, lived experience of ordinary people as events were unfolding. He can point to the houses where they lived and the streets where ambushes and reprisals took place, as he tells their stories which we would otherwise never hear. I would recommend this to anyone, it was an engaging and fascinating two hours.
