Did not really see the area around, except the beach.
There are bathrooms present, and a shower. I am not sure about the male bathroom, but the female one has 3 stalls and one sink. There are no changing rooms.
The beach is amazing. A bit crowded, but you can usually find a spot.
During high tide you are not allowed to dive in or go swimming alone if you are a child, which is reinforced by the lifeguards, which only seem to be present during high tides.
There are crabs on, and around the rocks when they are fully submerged! Some of them reach the size of 10cm.
I always get at least 2 scratches from swimming here, but usually not anything above a slight graze on my knee.
If you are not a good swimmer, I would recommend going around low tides, as you can reach the max distance just by walking, yet you can still splash and...
Read moreA wonderful beach. There's a lot of space for everyone - grass, rocks, etc. The seabed slopes very gently so there's a considerable amount of shallow water for children of all ages to have fun in and even learn to swim. There's a lot of moss and seaweed on the seabed and rock islands around, but it's really no hindrance to most activities. There are washrooms available(3 female & 3 male cubicles) but there's hardly ever tissue available so you'll have to bring your own. You'll have to bring food/snacks from home too because there's none being sold there. There's no entrance fee and car parking is also free during the weekends. All in all, it's a large beautiful beach with serene environment - a...

The new cycle path along the sea front makes it an attractive proposition to combine a workout with a relaxed swim. You always meet some other swimmers too - the chat is great. Only one (unfortunately severe) downside. After a heavy rain, raw sewage gets washed into the bay and makes swimming a health hazard. Not cool - and totally avoidable if the sewer system would finally get their long overdue upgrade. So watch out for the weather and if its dry you are in...
