Lucas is a great new addition to the Dunlaoghaire Monkstown area. It’s situated beside the Purty Kitchen and is a genuine Spanish wine and tapas bar. We visited mid morning and met Lucas ( El Jefe) who is a beautiful golden Spaniel and who lends his name to the business. We also spoke to Mercedes who is one of the proprietors. She told us that their ingredients including cheeses and hams come from Extremadura in Spain and are of the finest quality. All the staff were extremely helpful and interested in making our food exactly as we wanted. We had tostadas which were absolutely delicious - the finest manchego cheese and Jamon Iberico were just some of the quality ingredients in our food. Lucas is open from early morning and towards the weekend stays open as a wine bar until 10pm. I’ll be back to try more of the menu....

Walk on past Avoca and try Lucas by N The Club. You will be supporting a friendly and very authentic Spanish eatery. Mercedes and her team are genuinely passionate about food, coffee & wine. Staff are very friendly and Lucas the Spaniel is fantastic - but surprisingly Lucas is not a Spanish Dog ;-) Really enjoyed the chat.
