I visited this place many of times, really enjoyed how beautiful it is. Plenty of nice locations for photos and videos. Even though you can’t go inside the castle and you can enjoy the gardens only. They have nice place with coffee and dessert and trust me coffee there is very good. But we had a bad experience one day. Me and my boyfriend got there one hour before they close. We finished work, changed and headed there to have some nice time after work. And women who is selling tickets refuses to let us go inside even though we had an hour. It is information on official website that visitors are aloud to go inside one hour before close. We said that we still have on hour and she said in very mean manner: “Are you joking me or what?” I saw this woman couple of times before and she was always very nice. So this behaviour disappointed me a lot. I checked information on website before we went there. So I knew that we have right to entrance a castle one hour before close. That was even more upsetting that we chose this place, we didn’t want to cause any troubles just wanted to get some rest in nice place. And we were told to leave. This place is wonderful. But unfortunately I...

Don't follow the sign and drive hundred miles, it's private castle and you cannot visit in. They have to write on all sign on the road "private castle". I'm sure noone would like to drive for a garden. I see people's shared pictures, there are a lot of more beautiful gardens in Ireland. When we arrived two very rude old women were at the entrance for sale the ticket for garden not the castle. We learnt that the castle is private from those women at the entrance. I said as statement that; "To hear that here, disappointed for tourists after drove a lot". one of them told rudely " it's disappointed for you not for the owner". I shocked. And she stands up from her chair and turned her back while saying "I think this coversation will continuing all day I cannot do it." I had second shock. I didn't say anything. while the other woman sitting the chair said to her colleague; " no worries I will take it". I said I think both of you didn't understand me, it was a statement I shared with you, I was not arguing with you". There was no apologies. We were 6 people shocked and we turned back with no other words because I didn't want to ruined our holiday with two...

Very beautiful castle and gardens! It is a shame that you can't see at least some part of the castle interior, but it is worth a visit even just to see the gardens....I loved the part with different kinds of succulents and flowers, and the small watchtowers, with great view from the top....feels like you are transported to some ancient times, when the occupants of the castle used to roam these castle grounds. They have huge Magnolia trees, never seen them so big,so it was a nice surprise too! It was the beginning of March, and they were...
