The Nautical Museum — Attraction in Castletown

We dropped into the Nautical Museum on our trip to Castletown and it was really interesting. We were given a personal tour by Harry who was very knowledgeable about both the museum and the IOM. The original owner of the property, who was quite an eccentric who built his own boat, that he kept in his cellar and built lots of other interesting features into the building. Well...

Not much to see but a very enthusiastic guide who was very knowledgeable was a hallmark of the place and his stories were really good and enhanced what the place had to offer(extra star due to the guide). Somewhat disappointed as the star attraction the ship /boat was out for rebuilding and...

Thought this was a fabulous museum, so much interesting history and information even though it's small! We had the benefit of a private tour with Andrew, where he showed us lots of fabulous nooks and crannies and told us all about the history of the building and its owner. Absolutely...
