Rush Inn Chinese Takeaway — Restaurant in Castletown

Absolutely loved our experience at Rush Inn Chinese Take Away during our recent trip for the Isle of Man TT! We must’ve been their most loyal customers, out of 10 nights, we ended up there 7 times. I’ll admit, we were those late night stragglers strolling in just 10 minutes before closing, but you’d never know it from the way we were greeted. The staff always had a big smile for us and genuinely seemed happy to see us, no matter how late it was. The real star, though, was the food, always fresh and delicious, every dish made from scratch. That extra effort didn’t go unnoticed and meant a lot, especially after a long day watching the races (or sitting in the pub to avoid the rain!) A lovely bonus: instead of hurrying us out, the staff would let us sit down and enjoy our food right there while they tidied up for the night. We never felt rushed; if anything, it felt like we were regulars sharing a late meal with friends. If you’re in the Castletown and fancy some great Chinese food with genuinely friendly service, even if you’re cutting it close to closing, do yourself a favour and give Rush Inn a try. I ordered chow main salt and pepper prawns and a portion of chicken balls. They gave me the order and when I got home I noticed a fortune cookie. Thought what a nice touch but they've forgotten my chicken balls. Except they actually just charged me 2 quid for some batter with the tiniest peice of chicken you'll ever see in your life. The chow main is greasey gak straight in the bin. Save yourself 22 quid and spend the pound on a pot noodle it will actually be better. Prawns tasted nice just caked in grease.
