Maoma Beach — Attraction in Bordighera

The water is clear and warm. The beach is clean and made of small black pebbles. There are plenty of public free beaches. I have only been here in June so I don't know if it's full of people when it's in season. I do expect it to be since it is very beautiful here. In June, there are only a few locals on the beach. Sometimes you have the whole beach to your self. It's amazing. Towards the end of June, we did see that they started setting up all kinds of stuff for amusement. So I would say to families with kids who want to have fun and who don't care about crowds: go in July. For those who want peace and quiet and just to relax, get a tan, swim and perpahs go for a run in the morning: go in June...

Abbiamo passato una domenica meravigliosa al Maoma di Bordighera, un ristorante davvero speciale affacciato sul mare. Fin dal primo momento siamo stati accolti con calore da uno staff simpatico, gentile e premuroso, che ha reso la nostra esperienza ancora più piacevole.

Siamo arrivati con il nostro bimbo di 11 mesi e ci siamo goduti l’inizio della giornata sul mare, con una splendida bottiglia di rosé francese. Un’atmosfera rilassata e luminosa, perfetta per staccare la spina e godersi il panorama.

Ci siamo poi spostati al ristorante dove abbiamo ordinato il famoso "piattone" di frittura di pesce – abbondante e croccante al punto giusto – insieme a un tataki di tonno, un filetto di pesce grigliato e dei calamari alla griglia. Tutto semplicemente delizioso: sapori autentici, cotture perfette e una qualità davvero notevole.

Consiglio a tutti di fare tappa al Maoma: che siate in coppia, in famiglia o con amici, è un vero must a Bordighera. Torneremo...
