This was a last minute, phone up the night before and hope they had space job! What a find! A very small vineyard just 10minutes from Pisa and what was nice, it was a husband and wife team who were just lovely. We had a quick tour of the vineyard where our host explained the area, types of grapes and the techniques needed for the production of wine and olive oil. Sadly we were not able to see the cellars nor bottling area..but we had a lovely time on the terrance, sampling 6 of their wine and their olive oil. The tasting was accompanied by 4 dishes of local produce, they were not large dishes, but probably about right to accompany the wine. We finished the tasting with the most amazing and sweet figs I have ever eaten. For 20 euros per person, this seems a bargain! Unfortunantly we were unable to purchase any olive oil. But made up for it by purchasing a lot of their wine! If you are around Pisa I would recommend this vineyard, its small, friendly and the...
Read moreThis vineyard is incredible! First of all, it was very easy to access by bus from Pisa - the stop is right around the corner. I was welcomed immediately by Roberta and was offered some water before the tour around the vineyard. Matteo told me all about their natural philosophy for their olive oil and wine during the tour and showed the area where the fermentation and bottling process takes place. After this - the wine tasting! I tasted 2 white wines and 3 red. Roberta also gave us 3 breads - one plain Tuscan bread (without salt) to taste the olive oil, one with garlic, oil, salt and pepper, and bruschetta. So delicious. Roberta and Matteo were very kind and welcoming. For 10 euros a person for tasting (as of June 6th, 2018), and very inexpensive bottled wine and olive oil, you should absolutely check out this...
Read moreWhat an amazing place! My friends and I booked a tour around the vineyard and wine tasting and the experience exceeded our expectations by far. Pakinam was outstanding, friendly, passionate, and very knowledgeable about her family business. It clearly meant a lot to her and it made us all even more interested. Not only the vineyard was beautiful, but the wine tasting with all the varieties we tried was amazing and she explained very well the difference between all the wines and the process for each of them. It was the birthday of two of us in the group, and she was very generous and let the whole group try an extra wine. A sparkling red wine! I would recommend anyone to visit this beautiful place and I will be coming back when I return to Tuscany. Thank...
