So... Went over the "bad" reviews and they almost the same.
Praising the wine tour, Valentina, in our tour was Amazing!! She was passionate and highly professional.
The price for the tasings and the wine, I must say that price is nothing to complain about when the wine is good. You don't have to buy. And just to be clear we loved the wine.
THE STAFF
Aside from Valentina there is a feeling you are not welcom into the establishment. We kindly requested to use a table to pack the 4 box of wine we bought and some other boxes and we're replied with warmth by Valentina. Later came in some passive agressive manager, who refused to tell me his name, and acted obnoxiously, asked us to leave along side with the other staff members. Even when I came back to thank him and apologize for any misunderstanding he would no introduce himself and was very rude.
I am not the only one complaining on the bad attitude and vibe of the place. Coppo winery does not need customers coming in maybe because they are filthy rich but... You never know who came in for a wine tasting, and one day it can make the difference.
Summery - the great wine is not worth the awful feeling acommpanied...
Read moreOne of the best winery tours I have ever had. The cellars are street level which means easy walking access yet the caves are exposed in parts to show the geological underpinnings of the soil below the vines. The cellar has preserved their old cement wine areas and even has cellars dating back beyond 1902. The tasting rooms are well lit with the ceiling reflecting the traditional Piedmonte architecture and lastly the wines themselves are stunning. From their Pomorrosso to their Nizzas and their incredible Alta Lange (spelling) the tasting was worth every penny. Hats off to our guide Martina who did not even have to sell us the wines - we asked for the lists and bought without any hesitation. Hats off Coppo. I hope to be back again soon!...
Read moreWe had a wonderful experience, a beautiful day and welcome by all the local producers that made part of the girodelnizza experience. Unfortunately on the map of this event we came by Coppo winery which we had heard about in the past so we go "let's try them, it's an opportunity". It is 4 pm, the event is on till 6 pm, this is the only place where doors were shut and when WE RANG THE BELL (I repeat the event is for open-doors to all) some adept replied that we would have had to have reserved a tasting and that they did not have time for us. I just think that some posh places should stay out from such initiatives, they just obtain the opposite effect. Congrats to all the rest wineries, so nice and helpful and proud of...
