Caccia Al Piano 1868 — Attraction in Castagneto Carducci

We just experienced one of the most disappointing wine tastings we have ever had at a winery in Italy. We were poured five vintages of the same wine. Many of these vintages tasted awful. No one in our group finished the small pour of any of the wines and it appears that the tasting is being used to dispose of wines they cannot sell. We were charged 90 euros per person for the tasting but nothing was provided with the wines. Similar tastings at other wineries in the area are around 35 euros per person. We were clearly taken advantage of and I strongly recommend that you avoid this winery. There clearly are better wine tasting experiences available...

Absolutely amazing service and wine! Caterina helped us through 6 small glasses of their best wine and charged us a VERY reasonable price. She was absolutely amazing and her English is perfect. Would definitely recommend and come again the next time we are in Bulgheri.
