Villa Bonomi — Attraction in Como

What was meant to be the trip of a lifetime….

Definitely will never forget our stay here for all the wrong reason.

My partner and I stayed at Villa bonomi for a wedding and can honestly say from the moment we arrived not only were we met with disrespect and disappointment but the level of arrogance and misconduct from the staff and organisers was unparalleled.

Where to start….

After travelling 30 plus hours to arrive in Italy we we’re not welcomed or greeted by anyone. The air-conditioning did not work, yes the photos online looks amazing upon closer inspection this villa was less than sub par.

The pool looked like it hadn’t been ended in decades. The solution to this was a truck dump on chlorine that ruined our wedding photos as neither guess could see as our eyes were so puffy and red, there were multiple hazards left around the site , nails in tall grass where kids got hurt, a rusty knife exposed on the table just to name a few.

Fast forward to the wedding , these guys met every cliche known to man. Zero organisation multiple errors during the night they didn’t set the table for diner properly the bride had to intervene so many times that guess thought she was the wedding planner.

NB. If you plan on having a wedding here be aware they’ll make you turn the music down at 21:00!! What’s the point in being in a villa at the top of Como to have the party cutt off hours before midnight.

Gets better imagine paying for alcohol, the waiter has opened all the bottles and then the staff approach you to say sorry it’s past 22:00 another €2,000 if you want the drinks to continue for half and hour.

The next day the escapade continues and the staffs organisational skills reslly shined with a recovery brunch buffet / bbq set up in the sun which is asking for trouble from the health perspective but then they expected all the guest including the elderly to stand up and eat in the sun. Again the bride and friends had to drag tables and chairs and set everything up ourselves.

The icing on the cake was checkout we were accused of “damaging the Villa” as the table and chairs were we had the wedding dinner apparently wrecked the grass and they could not water the grass so they need to replace the whole turf. Magically all these water marks happened to appear on counter tops and any nick or scratch the Villa already had was deducted from our bond.

What a nice scheme to re renovate your villa at the expense of your guest.

Stay away! This place is ran by dishonest people and unfortunately had jaded what was meant to be an amazing place and some of Italys best to hands down the...

As a wedding organizer agency, we had a great time working with Villa Bonomi in Como, which is a hidden gem, a place of extraordinary beauty that takes your breath away every time you visit.

The spectacular lake, mountains and Como city views make every moment magical and unforgettable. The splendid gardens, well maintained, offer a perfect backdrop for outdoor ceremonies and photo shoots.

The staff at Villa Bonomi is incredibly professional, dedicated and helpful which makes it a pleasure to collaborate with them. They try to be as flexible as possible to accommodate all the needs and wishes of the guests, but there are some laws and rules in Como that they have to follow. For example, playing loud music after 22:00 outside is forbidden, but there is a closed area perfect for the DJ set and disco.

From the first meeting to the final minute of the event, they were present to ensure every detail was perfectly managed, which left our clients extremely happy and grateful.

Villa Bonomi is undoubtedly one of the best wedding venues on Lake Como and we think in the world! We highly recommend this villa to anyone seeking a dream wedding in an elegant, modern and refined setting. We can't wait to return to Villa Bonomi for...

So disappointing. Travelled halfway across the world based in photos posted online. Yeah the view was nice, but no better than the rest of Como. Unfortunately the Villa itself was so far below par, especially for the money paid. The pool was maintained so badly, they filled it with chemicals just before we arrived which left it unusable for the first 2 days of the stay. All guests that used the pool still had puffy eyes in the wedding photos lmao. Food was left outside in the direct sunlight before and during being served, which went on for hours. And to top it off, thinking it was safe for the kids to play in the garden, we were horrified when one of the older kids alerted us to a rusty knife left on the outdoor tables.
