beach Caravella — Attraction in Duino Aurisina / Devin - Nabrežina

I would give 5 stars to the place as it is (the natural backdrop, the cliffs, the beach, clean sea...) however this rating reflects the many minus points i want to give the establishment which is 'managing' (and extracting value from) this beach. The entire beach is privatized and you can't sit (even on the ground) if you don't rent an umbrella/bed. The only place you can stay for free is a relatively thin strip of rocks and pebbles right next to the sea, resulting in people amassing closer to eachother than they normally would (i don't even want to imagine how it looks in high season). I sincerely hope the owners and people working for them will self-reflect and I also hope at least the locals have free access or 95% discount because this...

Really peaceful with sunloungers available to rent for €3 for a chair for a day. This beach is about 20 minutes from Trieste and, in my personal opinion, is worthwhile travelling to. It's as close as you'll get a proper beach which is mainly small stones - not too rough on the feet! There's also parks nearby and quite a few bars open if you fancy an aperitivo after sunbathing and swimming. It's quite difficult to reach if you don't have a car so would recommend rental. There's also a bar which opens up as a nightclub - probably one other best in Trieste. Having said that there's only two in the whole...

A fronte della totale privatizzazione dei posti spiaggia presso il parco Caravella (ai bagnanti che non noleggiano ombrelloni e lettini, a prezzi tra l'altro piuttosto elevati, sono lasciate solo le spiaggette a bordo acqua, ovviamente super affollate già in questa stagione e dove non c'è il minimo distanziamento fisico), non corrispondono servizi adeguati.

Per chi paga lettini e ombrelloni non c'è rispetto delle distanze previste dalle norme, i lettini non vengono igienizzati, spesso non vengono neppure chiusi per la notte e preparati per il mattino successivo, la spiaggia è abbastanza sporca e mancano adeguati contenitori per la spazzatura (che invece negli anni scorsi erano presenti in quantità), i bagni sono in condizioni pietose già a metà giornata, il personale -salvo rare eccezioni- lavora senza mascherina (anche nel bar), l'accesso alle spiagge è unico e coincide con l'uscita ed è ulteriormente ristretto da fioriere che fanno barriera con creazione di lunghe file e assembramenti, per scendere in acqua si devono attraversare le spiaggette libere sovraffollate camminando sugli asciugamani altrui. Tutto questo in giugno. Non oso immaginare in agosto. Manca inoltre il servizio di salvataggio.

Peccato per la pessima gestione di questo angolo di paradiso, che per anni abbiamo sempre frequentato e apprezzato.

Prezzi: in settimana ombrellone e 2 lettini 27 euro, 34 euro nel fine settimana; lettino singolo 10 euro. I prezzi sono dimezzati dalle 15. Parcheggio in settimana 10 euro, sabato e domenica 13 euro. Gratis...
