We stumbled upon Fiordo di Furore quite by accident when our bus didn't stop in Praiano, and what a fortunate turn of events it turned out to be! Nestled between towering cliffs, this hidden gem offered breathtaking views and an unforgettable experience.
As soon as we arrived, we were captivated by the natural beauty of the fjord, with its crystal-clear waters and stunning rock formations. The small, picturesque beach was perfect for a day of exploration and relaxation. Despite its secluded location, Fiordo di Furore had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable visit. The kids swam for hours, enjoying the refreshing water, while we relaxed and soaked up the sun on the beach.
One of the highlights was walking along the old bridge that spans the fjord. The views from the bridge were simply breathtaking, offering a unique perspective of this enchanting place. The nearby hiking trails also provided an excellent opportunity to explore the surrounding area and take in the stunning coastal scenery.
The hospitality of the locals added a special touch to our unexpected visit. We enjoyed a delicious lunch at a nearby trattoria, where we were treated to fresh seafood and traditional Italian dishes, all prepared with locally sourced ingredients. The friendly staff made us feel right at home and even shared some interesting stories about the history of the fjord.
Overall, our accidental visit to Fiordo di Furore was one of the highlights of our trip to the Amalfi Coast. It's a must-visit destination for anyone looking to experience the natural beauty and tranquility of this remarkable region. Highly...
Read moreI bought a bus ticket to and from the Furore from our hotel. However, the buses were so packed, I waited almost 2 hours. The shuttle driver from the hotel felt bad for me and offered to take me close to the drop off area. I was dropped off at a gas station. I walked another few minutes, my only worry was there was not much room between myself and the road and the cliff. Buses and traffic were flying by, I did run in the little tunnel until I found a wider walking place. Getting there can be hard. We went in Sept 24. I was able to get a bus ride home after waiting quite a while. The schedules they have were never on time. The bus was packed, I did stand and then was able to get a seat. I still would have waited patiently for the bus then attempt to drive. The drivers are crazy and the roads were not designed for 2 cars at one time.
The water and whole experience exploring the Furore was amazing. Unfortunately, the other 3 people I traveled with were not able to go with me, but I’m so happy I went even if it was alone. As this spot was my thing that was important for me do in Amalfi. I was careful being alone and kept everything on me, even when swimming so if my stuff got stolen I could still get home. I have a waterproof case on my phone and a waterproof small card wallet that had my husband ticket in. I just put them in my bathing suit top. The water was chilly but very refreshing. A nice lady offered to take my picture, some friendly people around. I could have stayed there all day. Very relaxing and it’s a stop you should make if you...
