An American-style theme park connected to Italian-related movies and venues. Cinecitta is still a concept. Perfect relaxation in the middle of a week-long holiday in Rome for a spit from the sea or halfway between Rome and Castel Gandolfo. It is a great fortune to live far away, because they also have an annual pass. Amusement park is a must for fans, movie fanatics, or families with young children - Disneyland in small. Others can accumulate plenty of profile pictures in an hour for the rest of their lives. An enjoyable roller coaster in the land of Altair, where the only condition for survival is a short ride. The fourth screw will haunt you in a few days. More virtual roller coasters - Volarium II music takes it all. My personal favorite: a crash in the middle of the Inferno ghost train, which I knew, I just had no idea:) Lots of wild west topics for the little ones. At least 10 spectacular ringlispil on the wildest topics. Brutal catapult in the footsteps of Indiana Jones, multiple virtual reality locations - Assasin’s Creed is a great nostalgia for anyone. Lots of show performances on brutally sized stages or in hangars. Before you leave, you should check out the website, as there is at least one per hour at the farthest points of the park. In summer, the Cine Piscina or the Sapore di Mare are perfect for relaxing, but in winter it is also cozy to skate with a hot drink. There are several restaurants worth testing for the world’s best-known cuisines in one day, but there are also plenty of little memories to store in the shops.
Protip: Never stand close to the left side of the Aktium pool where the red shields line up! We were in the late fall when the weather was still 15-18 degrees, but nowhere did we have to stand in line for more than 2 minutes. In the summer, you can easily get to an attraction in an hour and a half. I can’t imagine what it would be like to be 40 degrees so long for something. The place is mostly busy in the afternoon, but this is also shown on Google Maps. They are made with a lot of current programming around the holidays, but that’s when most of them are. Look for a coupon before you buy a ticket, because it used to be! If you’re lucky you either get a gift or even get in half price. It’s worth connecting to the outlet stores next door for a hearty purchase. The cheapest way to get there is by car or rental car, but there is also a transfer. You can also save on parking by walking 400 meters to the Shopping...
Read moreThis seems to be an etxremely badly run operation and I have an urgent tale of caution for anybody trying to buy their tickets online - This was my experience: On the second-to-last day of our holiday in Rome, on the morning of April 5, 2018, I bought several tickets online for a visit to Cinecitta World on the following day, April 6 (bus ride and family tickets) in the value of 126,-EUR, using paypal. After my money was transferred I got a download link for the tickets. When using the download link I always got the same error message (I have a screenshot to prove it) that the download was not possible due to an internal error. II tried several times, using different browsers, but was not succesful. I contacted the hotline of Cinecitta World and got told that I have to send an email with the complaint which I immediately did. I got no reply. The next day I tried again to download the tickets, with no success. My family and me now changed our plans for the last day of the holiday, because we didn't have phsyical tickets which were necessary to enter the bus. We still didn't hear from Cinecitta World. In the late afternoon of April 6 I got the tickets for that day per email, but now it was much too late to use them, as the bus had already left and the park would have been closed. Directly after that we left Rome for Germany (where I live), we have no plans for visiting Rome in the future, it was a one-time event. Cinecitta World answered via the resolution center on Paypal, saying that the tickets are still valid, but we can't use them anymore of course. I tried to ask them again and again, but they just repeated the same information. I bought the tickets 1 day before we needed them, and their website (which clearly had problems) did not provide the service they promised, and they could not deliver the tickets until it was too late for us to use them. Therefore no service was received, they failed to deliver and I will most certainly not try to have business with them ever again. Be warned that the same might happen to you if you use their...

We booked online and added the €25 Fast Track for each of us and I’d say it’s worth it — it really helps you skip the lines in the main park. Just note: Fast Track only works in Cinecittà World, not the water park or Roma World.
The haunted house was alright — nothing crazy, but fun to go through.
The ticket includes three parks: the main theme park, a small water park (Aqua World), and Roma World. In the main area, there are just four proper thrill rides (a roller coaster, water ride, and two others). The rest are mostly for kids — light and easy.
Aqua World is very basic. It has a lazy river that takes about 7 minutes to float around, and just two slides — but you can’t ride them solo. You need two people, so it’s not great if you’re with one kid and don’t want to ride. Pretty boring for adults, but okay for kids. They also had a foam party in the pool, which was a fun little bonus with music and dancing.
As for lockers, definitely book them at the park — not online. That way, you can choose the size that actually fits your stuff.
One thing I appreciated: the staff spoke English really well, which made everything much easier. Just be ready for an extra €8 for parking.
Overall: A fun day out, especially for families with kids. Don’t expect big thrills, but with Fast Track, it’s smooth...
