Horrible experience! When we entered the center we specifically asked which pools require a swimming cap, since I don't carry one for vacations in the mountains. We were told that the cap is necessary only for the indoor swimming pool, which we didn't plan on using, so we didn't carry one outside.
We got to the outside area, there were 5 sunbeds used by people and a few other stacked next to those. We went to grab one and all of a sudden a grumpy old man "pool boy" came and pulled it from us very rudely, and said we have to go out and pay if we want to use one, in a very angry tone. We were a bit confused since we of course paid our entrance and were quite shocked by his attitude like we were being criminals.
Of course, we did not want to pay more because of his attitude, so we headed for the pool. At which point he started screaming at me in German, a language I do not speak, and eventually switched to English that he wanted me to wear a cap. I told him in the same tone, that the lady at the register said it's not necessary for outside, and also there was another guy in the pool without one. But that didn't seem to matter, he continued his screaming.
We went out to complain and the lady apologized for him, and explained that only the 5 sunbeds were for free, the rest not (how should anyone guess that) and that she made a mistake and forgot to tell us that this one pool outside requires a cap. He followed us like a creep and started raising his tone again, while the lady was trying to calm him down.
Shocking and unacceptable behavior from this overzealous pool boy. If he would have explained nicely the rules we would have gladly paid for sunbeds, and we would have returned during our trip after each day of hiking. This way, never again.
Edit after response from owner: The sign was around the corner, he showed it to us after! It was absolutely not necessary to have that attitude. And what I meant was how should we know some sunbeds are included in the ticket and some not. Makes absolutely no sense, and even so, you can explain that nicely. But obviously the attitude is tolerated from the top. Or the pool boy answers the reviews. Or you're there watching him scream at customers and you're fine with it. And don't worry, he was not uncomfortable. He was looking for any reason to...
Read moreVisited yesterday (11 Oct 2023) as we had a free pass from our accommodation. The lady at the front desk was rude and unhelpful. She barked orders at us and rudely asked questions we had no idea about, since it was our first time there.
When we went into the pool I walked in to have a look and see if it was even worth going in. Immediately I was followed very closely by one of the pool guards. After walking to the other side of the room obviously looking around, he yelled at me in Dutch. I told him I speak English, he then said “YOU MUST SHOWER BEFORE YOU ENTER THE POOL”. I explained I was just looking and he left me be (although he kept watching me)
Since there was lots of kids splashing in the pool and the jacuzzi I decided I did not want to swim here. I went into the sauna area which happened to be on a ‘ladies only day’. I went in and got into the cold plunge and was minding my own business. A couple of minutes later another young male guard appeared. He stood over the top of the cold plunge looking down at me and told me that ‘this is a naked area’ I looked at him confused and he said ‘to be in here, you must be naked!’. (Note I did not see any signs and they didn’t mention this at the front desk) I found it very uncomfortable and inappropriate…. Especially how he stood over the top of me and insisted I get naked straight away. I immediately left the area. I struggle to understand why I can’t stand in a cold plunge in a bikini. Why have a ladies only day if you make them feel uncomfortable??
Another reminder that this is very different to the rest of Italy. There is obviously a lot of influence from another culture that insist you respect orders and structure no matter how senseless they are.
I’m glad that I did not need to pay for this otherwise I...
Read moreNice spot with a huge inside pool, jacuzzi and an outdoor pool. It’s clean and has a steam bath too. However, the water is ridiculously cold - not only in the main pool (which is okay to be cold) but also in a jacuzzi and an outdoor pool!!! How crazy! I went through some of the comments to see if my family is the only one with such opinion and we aren’t. For you to say ‘it’s standard temperature’ is very rude and makes no sense, standard how? People are complaining! Even typing into google ‘normal jacuzzi temp’ we get 38-40degrees, not 34.5 as you say. Nowhere I’ve been (included the inexpensive places worldwide) did I have to run to grab my towel after leaving the jacuzzi. Surely, it’s not that expensive to put the temp up by a few degrees in there. Also, the outdoor pool should be the same temperature as the jacuzzi or a little higher so the body doesn’t freeze SINCE WE’RE OUTDOORS already. Such a shame because this place has such a huge potential but not sure if we can come back. It’s our first day of skiing and we’re having to drink...
