Restaurant & Cocktail Bar Zicoria Brasserie — Restaurant in Salten-Schlern - Salto-Sciliar

I would like to be positive but have to be honest. Since it is run by Hotel Hell, I had some expectations for the dishes. Now I have only tried lunch so my experience is for lunch.

The two dishes I ordered are: Gulasch Schlutzkrapfen

The Gulasch was overly salty...I understand that it may be taste preferences, but the polenta was salty too...I had to eat all the bread to finish the Gulasch (ps. Yes, I have had Gulasch from different places, so I do know how Gulasch should taste like lol) The Schlutzkrapfen was just ok, nothing special, just ravioli with spinach topped off with parmesan crumbles and drizzled with olive oil.

I was quite disappointed but finished the dishes because I do not waste food and told the waiter that the Gulasch was quite salty and his remark was oh? , then nothing lol.

Second disappointment: CHECK YOUR BILLS BEFORE YOU PAY. I checked the bill and saw that I was charged coperto (table fee) for 4 people, when we are only 2. Asked why that is and another : oh?....lol

The only positive if I can say is positive is that guests who stay at Hotel Hell get a 10% DC. FYI : make sure you tell the waiter you are staying at the hotel or else they will fully charge you.

Hope the management does take action, for being such a good hotel...your restaurant should live upto the...

I've been in Südtirol for three days and haven't experienced a single local that has treated the customers like people instead of cash cows.

The staff here are amazing! I was having the worst time this week and they totally changed it just by making me feel respected. They pay attention and work hard to make sure everything is to standard for service. From the receptionist to the bar tender to the all around guy who was doing everything. This place is awesome! It's clean it's classy and it's not overpriced. The menu is impressive and refined and the food was wonderfull! Treat them with respect and kindness and they will return it! These guys deserve your tips! Come to hotel hell and enjoy the amazing staff and atmosphere here at hotel hell And the Restaurant zicoria! You won't be disappointed!

...and the Barkeeper made me the best old fashioned I've ever had on her first try! ;)...

We had dinner at this restaurant on September 13th. There were four tables and our table was the only one that was not provided pre-dinner bread. The waitress said that because we didn't ask. Later she said that there was no bread for ordering pasta and tiramisu. We indicated that at all the other Italian restaurants we've been at, even if we only ordered pasta, they would offer pre-dinner bread. Her response was, I don't think so, you should ask, if you want bread. I really think that was a very rude response. This is the first time I have given a place one star, not because we like bread that much, but because this is one of the few rude people we've encountered in our travels in Italy, and I don't know why her attitude was like that, we hope it wasn't...
