We booked 4 beds and 2 umbrellas last min at this lido. We are accustomed to paying a minimum of $50 euro for 2 beds and an umbrella so pricing at $38 for 2 beds and an umbrella was fair. However, I have never been met with ruder service than I was met with here. The old woman who “watches” the bathroom screamed at my daughter and brought her to tears for not flushing the toilet (she did flush there was nothing left in the toilet except a small piece of paper, the lido clearly was having water problems that day as the two showers right next to the toilet she used were out of service). Then she was mad that my son came into the bathroom with sandy feet to wash his hands and face (umm everyone’s feet were sandy it’s a wood cabana structure not a marble bathroom). We paid for a lido instead of just chairs and umbrellas on the free beach to be able to use bathroom “amenities” not to be made to feel like unwelcome Americans. She finally changed her tune after I put her in her spot with Sicilian dialect in front of the rest of the line of people (I immigrated to America when I was a child but still have the language). For reference we have spent 9 weeks over the last 3 summers in Sicily and booked a lido almost every single day during those 9 Weeks at the same price point or higher. For most lidos, we have been repeat customers and I have never ever written a review like this about any of them. Spend your money elsewhere.
Also, the “panini” at the snack...
Read moreSan Vito La Capo beach is stunningly beautiful with it's crystal turquoise water, but in case you picked this place to spend your beach day at, make no mistake that the water is your only saving grace from all the trash from eating and drinking at this place that no staff member dares to collect (also there is no space for a trashcan because the 30€ sets of sunbeds are that tightly close to each other, so not even you can deal with the trash). The staff is not very friendly and they look about as confused as you are at their attempt to explain why their menu is split in half for takeaway and dine in and why their kitchen closes at 3pm which is basically lunch time. One waiter took half of our order and was ready to bring it, while the other very rude one proceeded ranting in italian after we clearly let him know that he's gonna have to use english but then again their terms are so confusing that it didn't matter what language he was speaking in. They looked happy to have us stand up and leave the place and we were more than happy to move to a place nearby where we had great lunch. Overall just an unpleasant experience. This beach club is amazing at making you feel like it's not worth the money you pay for your stay. Visit at your own...
Read morei love lido sabbione! i spent every day of my vacation here. this is the only full service lido in san vito lo capo. the umbrellas cost the same price as the other parts of the beach, but this lido is handled by staff and services food, drink. the staff members are all so friendly especially marco/ gatsby :) he’s so positive and funny
the water is so clear and warm. there are no crabs or animals on this beach. we saw a total of 3 very tiny fishes across 4 days here. the water really is SO clean. the sea is calm and no strong waves so it’s good for lounging.
san vito is easily the best beach i’ve been to in my entire life - and i’ve travelled to california, hawaii, bahamas, greece, spain and so much more.
tip: 3rd line is still very close to the water. i like it more than 1st line, which is chaotic with people walking past you every minute to enter the water. but don’t go any farther past the 3rd line because it is too hot and you won’t get any...
