Gabriella and her family are unique. Great customer care, great food quality, great cooking (a special mention goes to her husband, the wizard of the coniglio all'ischitana). Part of the food is home grown. This is a family business, with a capital F. Ischia is renowned for the coniglio, that grows on the monte Epomeo, the mountain that shapes the island. Every family has its own recipes and do not give out their secret. If you ask a local where to eat a gooood coniglio, they will answer "besides at my mom's?" But Taverna Verde is one of the best we ever tasted. Bucatini or freshly made tagliatelle is a personal choice. They give you also a bib, so you don't stain your clothes. Reservation especially now,...

All in all, an incredible experience and “il Cesare” (our service dog) did not go hungry while waiting under our table.
Our hosts, Gabrielle and Ernesto, were most gracious and pleasantly conversive...
Read moreI am very unhappy about this place. It's not close to anything but we took the time not once, not twice but three times!!! To get there, and during their opening hours, and they were always closed! I arrived at 13:15, we saw people eating inside and they just told us they don't accept any more customers. The other times we came exactly at 13 and they just told us they are closed. How does that even make sense? You have a restaurant that is always closed so whats the point. I felt it was very disrespectful to us as potential customers to be turned down this way several times during the opening hours. I will not go there again. Went to Bracconiere instead, head a great meal and was treated...
