A small Buddhist temple making it something a bit different to what you usually see in Japan. Some nice gardens and a reed thatch roofed building in the grounds.
However there isn't all that much to look at and no explanation anywhere. I would have liked to learn about the big Buddha head in the garden.
There is free parking for temple visitors down the road a bit (signed in Japanese) for use. You won't need a lot of time to view the area, it can easily be done in under an hour.
It's near a mountain so if you are lucky ( or unlucky depending on your point of view) you might be able to see some wild monkeys that inhabit the area ( be careful of them...
