Kasori Shellmounds Archeological Park — Attraction in Chiba

Always nice to have a morning or afternoon walks here. A lot of trees and birds.

The location is accessible by car. From the nearest public transport (monorail station and bus stop), it takes about 20 minutes walk. Not really close if you have to walk with kids or elderly people.

There are some festival in the summer, fall, and spring, which we can learn about Jomon Period. There are exhibition too, where we can try various things such as trying archery and making a fire without using any lighter but just two sticks of wood like Jomon people did. There is also a museum inside the park. Quite fun...

いちご狩りに行くまでの時間潰しで寄ったのですが、思いがけずとても楽しい公園でした！！

●公園 クヌギの木がたくさんありました。 どんぐりが落ちています。 原っぱなので遊具は見当たりませんでした。

●貝塚 縄文時代の人がどんな種類の貝を食べていたのか見れて面白かったです。 牡蠣があってグルメでした。

●竪穴式住居跡 竪穴式住居の柱の跡が綺麗に保存されていました！ 4000年前の穴が残っているなんて不思議で仕方ないです。

●博物館 縄文土器や貝塚など、色々な展示がありました。 時間がなかったのであまり見れませんでしたが、また来たらゆっくり見たいと思います。 土粘土を使ってイノシシを作る体験もさせてもらいました。無料でこんなに面白い施設、もっと知られててもい...
