I came by chance and it was a better-than-expected place. It is a museum that provides a deep understanding of the nature, ecology, history, and culture of Chiba Prefecture. Especially, the display of match cases was impressive. It's close to Narita Airport, so you can stop by on the morning of your departure. It is a place where you can learn more about Chiba Prefecture, which is located in Tokyo Bay. It has various themes, so it's interesting to visit...

One of my favourite museums. It doesn't overwhelm you with endless displays of similar exhibits but has just the right amount of interesting things to see in a well thought out environment. Young kids won't get bored and there is plenty for adults to see as well. Coupled with the attractions in the surrounding park it makes a fun an...

初めて伺いました！ 大人の入館料が300円とリーズナブルで驚きました。

入館してから1周目はワークシートのようなプリント紙を貰いクイズ巡りをしました。大人であれば回らなくても正解できるものですがお子様と回るなら宝探しのように楽しめると思います。

2周目はじっくり館内を見て回りました。特に海洋生物の多いゾーンと小動物(本物)ゾーンが気に入りました。アカマンボウの見本を展示している施設はあまりなく見た瞬間ニコニコしました。展示されてなかったけど同属のリュウグウノツカイが大好きです👻笑

特に目を引いたのは虫の標本。箱が多くて大興奮！骨格標本の海獣が大迫力です🫀植物の標本も本棚のように収納されていて引き出してみることができます！経年劣化してしまうものだと承知の上で見ると良いかもしれません。

千葉県で名付けられた…薄らと名前だけ知っていた…程度のチバニアン、映像を見てやっと逆転期地層の意味がわかりました！

全体を舐めるように見て2時間程度、滞在しました。次回行く時は無料の音声ガイドがあるようなので利用したいと思います。スマートホン必須(？)かも知れません。

休憩スペースには自動販売機がありました。

お土産コーナーには動植物に因んだ小物が多いです。なんと言ってもガチャポンが博物館っぽい品揃えでした！虫の標本(樹脂固めの本物)と深海魚のクリスタルを回しました👻笑 (両替はショップの店員さんに言えば出来ます)

注意点 バスを利用する方は｢郷土博物館｣を通るので博物館と放送を聞いて間違えて降りないように⚠️

｢中央博物館｣バス停から少し(7分ほど)歩きます！！

次回の企画展｢鯨｣楽しみです。

そういえば、学芸員さんやボランティアはコロナ禍の為フロアに出てきてる感じはありませんでした！博物に詳しい人とお話...
