We visited on April 20 2024. There are a few patches on the hill which have not bloomed yet but it is very beautiful and you can visit. The place gets crowded on weekends but the arrangements on crowd and traffic management are good. Wheelchairs are available at the entry gate. No discount for seniors. The slopes are covered with at least five varieties of flowers. There are a number of weeping cherries as well however they are past their full bloom now. It's an opportunity to get out of the city, take one of the best new trains in Japan (Seibu LaView Limited Express), enjoy the fresh air of the mountains, and give Chichibu's economy a small boost. I don't suggest visiting Chichibu just to see this field of flowers. Read moreThis is an amazing place to enjoy pink moss flower. really superb and exciting. Not only moss tiulip and cherry blossom can be seen here. The view of mount Buko with the moss flowers excellent. I guess it should be a must visit place. The entry fee is also cheap (only 300 yen).
