Iconic Spot!
⛩️ 新倉山浅間公園 Arakurayama Sengen Park is home to Chureito Pagoda, which measures 47 meters tall and Mt. Fuji, visible in the background, is often referred to as an iconic symbol of Japan.
🛬 Recommend time to visit: To witness the stunning and beautiful scenery of Mount Fuji and its surroundings, it's best to visit during the spring (Cherry blossom: April) or autumn season (November) when the leaves turn colorful.
🅿️ Parking Lots: Be careful while driving as the road to the parking lot is narrow and steep. There are not enough parking spaces available. It's unclear, but it seems that approximately 87 to 100 cars, jeeps, and mini vehicles can be parked at once. Parking is free, but during the cherry blossom season, it is charged.
⏰ Time and transportation: By train: Disembark at Shimoyoshida station and walk for roughly 5-10 minutes.
To reach the top of Chureito Pagoda from the bottom, it takes 20-25 minutes to walk on the road or ascend stone stairs.
🍽️ Dinning establishments: The park has dining options (Specifically Japanese cuisines) in the vicinity of the entrance and surrounding areas.
📷 Best spot: On top of Arakurayama Sengen Park, there is an observation desk just behind Chureito Pagoda.
🤲🏻 Pray: To pray for yourself and your family with proper arrangements from the shrine, you must make reservations and it will cost 5-10k per person. Please call 0555-23-2697.
#A perfect spot for walking, jogging, hiking, enjoying nature views, and practicing religious beliefs.
#It's difficult to find a parking lot nearby during the festive season.

The recent experiences have brought to light some concerns about cleanliness. Given Japan's highest hygiene standards and the decline in cleanliness, it is disappointing to note that the washroom facilities near the car parking area have not been as clean as they used to be.
The challenge of parking has also risen. The free parking lots that were once available at the top of the shrine no longer exist; visitors now have to pay a fee to park their vehicles.
The influx of tourists has resulted in a lack of adequate arrangements for handling crowds at the top of the park.

While it's a bit of a climb (and trust me, the stairs are no joke!), the reward at the top is nothing short of breathtaking. The park is most famous for its stunning panoramic views, featuring the majestic Mount Fuji framed beautifully by the vibrant Chureito Pagoda. Even outside of cherry blossom season, the view remains spectacular. Beyond the famous viewpoint, the park itself is well-maintained and offers a peaceful atmosphere. There are paths to wander, and you can truly appreciate the serene beauty of the surroundings. Tips for your visit: Be prepared for stairs: There are a lot of stairs to reach the pagoda viewpoint. Wear comfortable shoes and take your time. Go early: To avoid the crowds, especially during peak seasons (cherry blossom or autumn leaves), aim to arrive as early as possible. This also increases your chances of a clear view of Fuji. Check the weather: Fuji is often shy and can be obscured by clouds. Check the forecast before you go for the best chance of seeing her. Consider transportation: It's easily accessible by train, followed by a walk or a short taxi ride from Shimoyoshida Station.
