Marine World Fukuoka stands out as a large-scale aquarium that offers an extensive educational experience about the marine life found in the Kyushu sea. It's an enriching destination, especially for young children, who have the unique opportunity to observe a variety of marine creatures up close, including seals, otters, dolphins, sharks, whales, and penguins. The aquarium showcases a diverse range of sea life, enhancing visitors' understanding of marine ecosystems. One of the highlights of Marine World Fukuoka is its live animal shows, featuring seals and dolphins. These attractions not only entertain but also educate audiences about the behavior and capabilities of these intelligent marine animals. Furthermore, Marine World Fukuoka might have served as an inspiration for other aquariums, such as the Jakarta Aquarium Center in Bintaro, South Tangerang, Indonesia. This influence is evident in the educational focus and interactive exhibits that aim to promote marine conservation and awareness. Marine World Fukuoka is a must-visit for anyone keen on exploring the wonders of the ocean in an engaging and informative setting.

Can buy the tickets from online to avoid queuing at the ticket counter. Very nice aquarium! Must go for the dolphins show! Its a MUST. The dolphins are so well-trained and playful too! After the show is over, you can go to the pool area to have a close-up view of the dolphins. I realized some the dolphins can be very playful as they will purposely splash water onto tourist or children who were playing with them. Kawaii~ Indeed very friendly dolphins! Can buy some snacks from the food store there. Highly recommend their Takoyaki, melon ice-cream float. You can enjoy all these while watching the Live Show. :) If you have the chance, do go for their Marine World Restaurant! Whichever you order = NICEEEEE. Oh yes, you can also watch their dolphins swimming from the gallery view.

Plenty of fish and creatures to see in this large aquarium. It takes two trains to get to from hakata station but is worth the trip. The aquarium is a short walk from the nearest station. The exhibits are clean and full of healthy looking fish. There is detailed information and a dolphin show and other feeding times (in Japanese and English). The dolphin touching experience was worth it and although it could be stressful for the dolphins, they seemed to enjoy it and the children were well primed and controlled by the staff. There is also a restaurant we didn't try but prices seemed reasonable and not tourist catch prices. We spent quite a few hours here and arrived at opening time during summer holidays but it wasn't too busy. Recommended visit for families!

Actually it's a so-so place to go but every tourist spot in Japan has the added value of cleanliness, politeness and subtlety. As for food, when you thought there was only one restaurant, which would make you line up using the texting app LINE (which I didn't have, and after downloading the app I was asked to register with my phone number and verify with my phone card, which I didn't have with me at that damned moment), they have invited a bento lunch box provider, whom you can find exactly near the entrance. The sea animals are fine and cute as usual. If you're commuting to and from Momochi Ferry Terminal near Fukuoka Tower, make sure you have the timetable. We thought they had ship every complete hour but they DON'T at 13:00 from the park back to Momochi.

The building itself is appealing but in fact other cities in Japan also have marine museum … so it’s not an unforgettable experience … And it seems that there are not many food shops there … so they sell bento, onigiri, and juices outside the souvenir shops … it’s quite interesting … but I hope there are some more proper places for people to sit and have enjoy a simple lunch. And the area where people can touch the starfish … nobody is there to take care of it … The tourists just took the starfish out of water … some even broke its limbs … some dumped it into the water … it’s actually bothering me and my family … my daughter warned them but in vain … we then just left that area … and the museum …

The show in the main pool is a lot of fun. The staff does a really good job at getting the crowd involved. It also changes based on seasons I am assuming. When we went in the summer they got into the water with the dolphins, but when I went in the fall they didn't. The dolphins instead had different tricks. It was nice that it wasn't the exact same show. The other smaller shows are very interesting as well. I really enjoyed it overall. My favorite tank is the really large one with the sharks! So peaceful to just sit and watch them. You can also get really up close and personal with the penguins. Overall, I recommend it.
