Good place, lots of parking. You need to buy a ticket at the bottom for the tram and then another ticket at the top to enter the shrine area. A lot of steps, tough with little kids and the elderly if you try to go beyond the observation deck. Bring your lunch, no place for food.

Good view and this observatory is a formation of natural stone. If there is a lot of visitors on that day, may need to queue there to take pictures. Before walking towards this observatory, can visit the stone craving : Bodhisatva Guanyin (Kannon)

Wear appropriate shoes for walking as you will be doing a bit of it, if you wish to see the whole complex. Lots of stairs. Eat whatever you like on this day as all calories will be cancelled. Well worth the walk in my opinion.

Despite being a little bit hard to get there if you compare to Kamakura I totally recommend it. If you wanna go through the ropeway you gotta stop in Hama-Kanaya Station and walk around 10 min to the lifts; if you want to hike up stop in the next station (Hota sta), it's a 30 min walk until you start the hike. Over 2600 stair steps but the view from the top (329 m) its...
