This is definitely a good way to get up Mt. Nokogiri. The ropeway departs every 15 minutes from the base station. It can take 40 people at a time. The view is definitely spectacular. The ride is shorter than I thought. There is a shop for drinks and snakes at the base station. At the summit station, there is also a restaurant, shop and observation deck.
Getting to the top is just the start. Depending on your mobility and fitness, once you are at the top, you can visit the temple (there is an entrance fee for this). The entrance is 10 minutes walk away, then to see the different parts, there are hundreds of...

One of the better parks with some amazing granite walls and stone carvings. The 100ft Buddha carved into a gigantic granite wall and the overhanging cliff is the highlight.
The cable car is short ride but amazing views. Cable car was 1200 yen round trip. Small seating area at top to get drinks, snacks, and some food. Can also get some souvenirs there. Weekday with good weather was not...

Would recommend taking the ropeway up one way and then walking down. They have signs in English on the trail but some are in Japanese so just have a translator handy. If you need to walk towards the Hama-Kanaya station once you’re done exploring the temple, walk towards the Kwan-non carving. There are signs in Japanese that say “This way towards the station.” The way down was pretty easy and there’s bathrooms before you...
