I recently visited the aquarium after its renewal and would recommend prebooking tickets to avoid longer lines, although we only had to wait about 10-15 minutes. The experience lasted around 2 to 3 hours, and while we didn’t catch any of the shows offered, they may extend your visit if you choose to attend them.
The aquarium features a wide variety of marine life, including crabs, fish, sharks, and other aquatic species, which adds to the overall experience.
Overall, it was enjoyable, and the ticket prices are very reasonable considering what you get to see. Both kids and adults can have a great time here.
The facility offers parking and is wheelchair accessible, with a relatively short walking area that is suitable for seniors and families with toddlers. The staff was exceptionally friendly and polite, enhancing our visit.
This new experience is certainly an improvement compared to the previous setup before the renewal, and I highly recommend it.
As a tip, I suggest arriving early and bringing your own food. You can enjoy a lovely picnic after exploring the aquarium. Additionally, there's a park behind it where you can relax, take a stroll across the bridge, and visit Take Island. This could make for a...
Read moreIt may be the smallest aquarium I've ever visited, BUT it was so fun. We could get so close to many of the sea creatures and even touch and feed the spiky crabs, turtles and Giant Spider crabs. The seal show was cute also. I would recommend going in the morning as the line in the afternoon crawls at a snails pace. Originally, we lined up on Saturday afternoon, but left the line after 30 minutes of waiting and getting nowhere. On Sunday the aquarium opens from 9 o'clock. We got there 8:45 and there was a half decent line already. That said, we made the first group admission upon opening at 9. If you visit Takeshima, put this on your list of...
Read moreA great aquarium! It may be small but it has so much character. Lots of interesting exhibits with capybara, sea lions, turtles and much more! Feed the fish and turtles, watch live shows with the sea lions and capybara and see a lot of sea life. The value for money is great with parking available, some spaces are free. Very accessible and great for everyone. Kids love it and so do adults. Covid has meant that the live shows are not available 😓 However, I strongly recommend a visit. Lots of other things to do nearby including a cafe and restaurants for food and...
