I always like to find time to meet the gods when visiting a new location. And as this was my first time in Hakodate, I found myself traveling to Yukura Shrine.

This beautiful and serene shrine held many wishes and even allowed visitors to pick 3 to hold together. I picked up a charm of leaping forward in hopes of good luck...

Shrine that represents health and well being. This place just gives out very positive vibes. Pray at different points at the temple. An amazing journey to discover and complete your prayers. Not that crowded from a weekday morning visit. Free parking with plenty of lots available near the back of the temple. Toilet...

Shrine and atmosphere were good, but staff was unfriendly. They gave free gifts to few selected individuals, and apparently getting one or not has nothing to do with how much you pay. If they don’t like you they just don’t give it to you. Not sure if it’s racial discrimination but be warned that not everyone is...
