Hakone-en Station — Attraction in Hakone

Fun attraction with a few activities making it worthwhile regardless of the weather. Be sure to take the rope way to the top and see the Hakonejinja shrine. On some days, Mt Fuji is viewable.

Went in the morning when it opened. Not a lot of foreigners, only a couple of japanese tourists. So it was not crowded. Got to see a stunning view of Mount Fuji. On the way down, we could see that a lot more people were on their way up, so would recommend being there before nine, so you can take the first ride up, and avoid a lot of people. Also quite cheap! After many hustle, we finally arrived here by bus at 2:50pm only to see the sign with “suspension due to wind”. Is there a way to know this before arriving here so as not too waste one’s time? We stayed around just to see if it will resume till 4:24pm and still nothing. We couldn’t take the ropeway.
