Shonan Hiratsuka Beach Center — Attraction in Hiratsuka

Nice broad expanse of beach - I went in mid-October and while water temps can vary (it was about 24C), we were able to swim in just a swimsuit. It was post-typhoon (2 weeks ago), so a lot of debri and clean-up going on. Currents and tide can be pretty rough even in front of the tetrapods meant to break the waves. The beach is much nicer and less crowded than yuigahama area. Sand is cleaner and there is a plenty of space for everyone
