I recently tried my hand at crafting handmade glassware, and it was one of the most satisfying creative experiences I’ve ever had!
From the moment I entered the studio, the atmosphere was welcoming and peaceful. The staff were super friendly and guided us step by step — even though it was my first time, I felt totally at ease handling the tools and working with molten glass.
I got to choose the shape, size, and color of my piece — I went for a slightly wavy drinking glass with a subtle blue swirl. The process of blowing and shaping the glass was honestly magical. Seeing it come to life right in front of me made me appreciate the art even more.
The final product turned out beautiful — slightly imperfect in shape, but that’s what made it personal and one-of-a-kind. I use it every day and still can’t believe I made it with my own hands!
🔹 Pros: • Great for beginners • Helpful instructors • Fun and creative • You get to take home your own glassware!
🔸 Tips: • Wear closed shoes and tie your hair up • Be patient — glass needs time to cool and set • If they offer delivery for the finished product, take it!
Would 100% recommend this to anyone looking for a unique experience, whether you’re into crafts or just want to try...
Read moreAs English-only Americans it's always difficult to experience the best of Japan's interior. This business made every effort to make us feel included and entertained. It was an amazing experience that anyone going to the Izu Peninsula should experience. I went with a seasonal special (spherical bottom glass featured in the image) and my wife went with a standard glass with a flared rimmed. The glass blowing activity was very enjoyable, even with a language barrier. The staff who assisted us with the paper work were very patient and kind. There is a cute sweets shop attached that we wanted to try but due to scheduling were unable to.
