Sasayama Park — Attraction in Itoshima

Great park for a walk. Go in spring when it's cherry blossom time and you may score a beer from some picnic goers. Take your own and hike around for an hour. Climb to the top and check out the great view of the mountains to the south (although the overgrowth blocked a bit of it last time I was there) while rehydrating on your beer and enjoying the lunch you bought at the station market. This place is close to Chikuzen-Maebaru Station. During Sakura blossom, this is a heavenly location! It also has maple tree and other colors inside it. There are places where you can sit down with your friends and family and can chill with snacks and drinks.

The topmost area of this place works as an observatory; you can sniff the Itoshima-shi from here. There is also a parking-area close from this attraction (with 5-6 cars

Park boasts beautiful views of Itoshima and has enough space to have a picnic under the cherry blossoms when they're in full bloom. I however went there at the wrong time. Will add photos if I visit during the bloom season. There is also a peace memorial at the top...
