Nijinomatsubara is a 360-year-old pine forest in Karatsu, Saga. It has a width of 400 - 700 metres, a length of about 4 km, and a total area of 240 hectares. It was also referred as The Black Pine Forest of 1 Million Trees, however this name is uncommon today.

Beautiful, cool (temperature) and serene. Was a very memorable walk. There are also children's play areas scattered along the path, so great for kids to play and parents to relax. Due to the ground being covered by pine needles a lot of noise is absorbed. The road is less than 100m away from the path but the sound of cars driving by is very faint.
