Gepparou — Restaurant in Karatsu

A solid buffet in one of the best-looking hotels I've ever seen. First of all, let's talk about the hotel layout. So gorgeous, views to die for. Just the cleanliness, the sky-high window architecture, white everywhere. Reminded me of an airport, and I love airports.

An assault of good energy hits you the moment you walk in, the place is humming. The attentive maitre'd ran faster than Usain Bolt to greet us at the door. The ocean vibes; so chill even the noisiest obachan groups would shut their yaps and eat in silence while being mesmerized by the hypnotic Karatsu beach waves. Yep, if you want to be the lucky one that gets to witness some surfer dude getting bit in half by a bull shark, head over.

Getting serious now, this damn buffet is better than pretty much any buffet I've had with perhaps the exception of the one they do at the Fukuoka Hilton, and almost every dish was yabba-dabba-delicious. Unbelievable amount of choice at hand too; sushi, buns & butter, miso, tenpura, mac & cheese, cafe latte, fruit cordials, steak, self-serve ice-cream, creme brulee, salad bars, you name it. Great value for money, pretty good access too- being not too far from the nearest station and a pleasant walking distance from the Castle.

シャトレーゼに運営が変わり話題に。 新館1Fに店舗があります。

予約不可だったので 平日12時前に伺いましたがすんなり入れ 窓際席に案内して頂きました。

確か平日3000円、土日3300円で 15時近くまで滞在させて頂きやや高めの値段設定の為か、年配の方多めで お子様連れはほぼいなくて 静かに過ごしたい方はとてもオススメ。 席の感覚も広めで 窓際はソファー席でゆったり。

全体的に3割くらいしか埋まってなかったように感じましたが窓際はどの席からも 景色が最高⭐︎

肝心なお料理は シャトレーゼのケーキは日替わりで 6種類との事でしたが なくなると違う種類も出てきてましたし メイン以外にもソフトクリームや プリンやマンゴープリン、焼き菓子や和菓子等シャトレーゼに売ってる物がカットされた状態で出されてるので色々食べれます。

料理も お寿司（ネタは残念過ぎる冷凍物でした）やらしゃぶしゃぶ（金早佐賀豚）、 ステーキ（オージーか、アメリカンでしたが柔らかかったです）イカシュウマイ、　豚骨ラーメン、ちまき、 バターチキンカレー（1番美味しかった！） なんかもありました。

金早佐賀豚のしゃぶしゃぶとバターチキンカレーはめちゃくちゃ美味しかった！ 寿司が海見ながら食べるレベルじゃなかったのが残念過ぎでしたが 以前は海鮮丼でイクラ盛り放題だった事もあるようで海鮮丼に戻した方が良いかと。 冷凍ネタ使うんだったらお寿司は、立地的にやめた方が良い。 お値段も3000円以上するし魚が美味しい場所なだけに期待値上がるのに残念過ぎ。
