The location is beautiful and in terms of accessibility it will get 0 marks because the main attraction i.e. the undersea tower or park is not accessible at all.
The main attraction is the undersea submarine park which 8 meter below water level. The problem is you have to go down using a spiral staircase. There is no lift or escalator that can help the people with disabilities. So for the disabled persons this place is not recommended. All other places except this location is accessible.
It was a really sunny day when we visited the park. We went down but alas there is very few fishes that can be seen. The water was almost clear but we could not see enough fish. Bad luck for us.
The ticket price was 650 yen/person. But we can see only the natural beauty of the location not fully enjoyed as we didn't see enough fish underwater. Another thing is that, the windows are not big enough, so sometimes it could really difficult to see underwater.
Overall good experience but not what we were...
Read moreIt is a very interesting place to visit, the waves are very strong on the surface of the water and crashing against the cliff to create the beautiful gradients against it. Then once you enter the undersea observatory, it is a whole new world, very calm and peaceful to view the sea life through the small windows. This structure is build in 1955, making it 70 yr old today! What a genius idea 💡 and who would have thought of this idea back in the day! Highly recommend when you are in Chiba and one who generally...
Read moreI really enjoyed it! You walk out to the underway tower. On your way there you get a beautiful view of the ocean around you. You walk down MANY steps to get under the ocean. (If you have trouble with steps then I don’t recommend it).
Once there, you are under the ocean and looking at the natural fish. They do feed them, but the fish are wild and represents the fish I the natural surroundings!
Kids will love it. I am not a kid and I loved it.
Go during the week so you can enjoy it slowly. Weekends are...
