We love to travel around Japan as a larger group with friends and family. When we visit, Chiba Eden Restaurant is a part of our itinerary. We were excited to try the spa and the restaurant. The spa itself is amazing, but the staff are not very friendly. None of them speak English, which is understandable; we can adjust to that and use Google Translate. However, they were very rude and seemed unable to handle gaigin (foreigner)or a large group. They became overwhelmed and nearly charged us for two extra people for the spa. We tried the spa for one hour, but they didn’t inform us that the hour included time for showering and changing clothes. As a result, we went over by 10 minutes, and they charged us for an additional hour. We ended up paying for two hours. It’s a bummer that they didn’t explain this to us beforehand; otherwise, we wouldn’t have ended up paying for two hours.
Next, we went to the café, which has a very nice view and ambiance. We love their coffee and French fries, not gonna lie but prices were not cheap. Again, the staff kept a close watch on us, which made us uncomfortable.
With all these complaints, if the Eden Restaurant and spa staff were nicer to tourists, foreigners, (gaigin) I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
However, since they are not accommodating to non-Japanese speakers, foreigner (gaigin) big group, very rude and made us really uncomfortable. I wouldn’t recommend going there if you don’t want to experience how we were treated.

Read moreThe food was incredible. There was a wide variety of food that all looked good and when it came out, the food looked amazing and pretty close to the pictures. There was also a place outside that you could eat at where you could also put your feet in a little spa, we wanted to do it but it was too hot outside. All together the restaurant was amazing.10/10 recommend and would eat again. I would eat there whenever I...
