Kaiyuutei — Attraction in Kawadu

We have just left Kayuutei and are on the way to Kyoto so this whole stay is fresh in mind. I have stayed in some of the best hotels in the world but Kayuutei beats them all. The location along the coastline of Shizuoka is out of this world and all rooms are sea facing so you are guaranteed a great view. Situated on the east coast, the sunrise is one of the most beautiful you can hope for and watching it from our own balcony whilst enjoying local green tea was an incredible experience. The Onsen is open most of the day and features both an inside one and an outside one. They are separated by gender and switch daily to allow guests to enjoy both. We are really going to miss relaxing in an onsen before Breakfast and after dinner! The food is all locally sourced and includes lots delicately prepared fish and other foods and each serving seemed to get better and better. The experience is heightened by wearing the traditional Yukata provided by the hotel. The staff was so polite throughout and even picked us up from and dropped us off at the station. Comfortable place to stay, not cheap but worth the price. I love the welcoming draft beer. Place is closed to the river side Sakura trees walkway.

Our room is comfortable. Sea view is available and it is enjoyable to watch sun rising from the horizon while staying in you warm and comfortable room.

Dinner and breakfast are both unexpectedly delicious. Seasoning and amount of food served are suitable and balanced.

Outdoor onsen is averagely comfortable. View is not...

本当に、星４つの料亭旅館でしょうか？。 今迄に全国で、十数軒泊まっている宿で、今回初めて、泊まる前にこんなトラブルがありました。 食事の内容や部屋の間取りうんぬんをアピールするより、もっと基本のお客様の立場に立って、Customer.firstで接客応対されては如何ですか! ホームページから１名にて予約すると、何と部屋が取れました。 翌月曜日、ホームページを見ると5000円アップの料金で、魅力の4品の追加プランが提示されていました。 ダメ元でプラン変更の電話をすると、快く受付けの若い女性が、受けて下さりましたが、 追加金額が10500円？、明細を確認する為に、水曜日に再度連絡。 プランと同じ差額金額となり、プラン変更致しますと変更を受けてくださり確定! ところが…! ２日後の金曜日になって、責任者の女将らしき人物から、プラン変更は出来ないとの電話連絡。 何故かと尋ねると、何と！　１人宿泊のお客様では、食べきれない量だからお出し出来ないと。 プラン変更を承知したのはそちら! 2度も承知しておきながら、一方的に断りの話! 人の胃袋を察するような理由で断って来ても、納得出来るものではない。 写真を見れば、30センチクラスの伊勢海老や、キンメの煮付けを出している訳じゃ無いでしょ?! それこそ、慇懃無礼! 言葉は丁寧に、しかし上から目線で話をしてくる物言いといい、妥協案も無く、最終的に押し通し、元のプランで良いですかとは、何ごと! 従業員がプラン変更を承諾したなら、責任者として対応すべきであり、約束が確定しているはずです。 お客様に、従業員のミスをお詫びして、言葉で伝えるか、代替え案を提示するとかすべきだと思います。 この応対の奥に感じたのは、一人旅のお客様は当館に宿泊しないで頂きたい、形式は宿泊可能ですが、本当は予約しないで下さいと言っているようなもの。 たとえ従業員であっても、宿の代表として応対しているわけですから、お客様との間で取り交わした約束は、守るべきものだと考えます。 旅行者としても、宿泊前にこんな対応をされて、自分の記念日に相応しい宿とは思えず、サービス対応も良くないと判断し、熟考の末、宿泊をCancel致しました。

料理に自信が有るから、後のことは、お客様に押し付けても予約は入る?! そうでしょうか? TotalServiceと言う言葉を知っていますか?? お客様の立場に立って、運営されていない証拠です。 責任者として、サービスのあり方を、再度勉強なさったほうが宜しいかと思います! 一人のお客様も二人のお客様も、お客様の重みに変わりはないのですよ。 長々と書きましたが、皆さんが同じ目に遭ったら、どうなさいますか?! 景色や夕食や部屋だけが良ければ満足出来ますか?! 他のトラブル時の応対を読んで下さい。一流の宿では考えられない...
