Kawazuhama Beach — Attraction in Kawadu

After a leisurely 3-kilometer-walk of enjoying the cherry blossoms along the Kawazu River, we reached Kawazuhama Beach where the breakwater offshore ensures a peaceful beach with gently lapping waves.

Kawazuhama Beach (Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan), is not well known, which helps keeps the crowds to a minimum. The beach itself is not that big, but offers a chance to take some nice sunrise photos or maybe even have a barbecue during summer.

I went here the first week of march and so many people are here. They enjoy the Kawazu zakura and then enjoy lunch at the beach. Saw many family bring their picnic basket and mat and enjoy the sun and breeze at the beach while enjoying lunch and the kids run around playing with water. The scenery is okay. The water is blue but it is not a white sand. I hope people (especially foreigners) are more conscious about leaving trash in here since the cleaning staff looks so tired picking up trash.
