Umami-kyuryo Park — Attraction in Kawai

A municipal botanical park spreading over 5,000 acres of hilly area located southwest of Nara City. The park was built to preserve 12 Kofuns (ancient mounded tombs) from rapid residential development around the vicinity. It is always open to public for free admission and holds many events and exhibitions. Botanic garden areas are planned so that one can enjoy blooms throughout the year....

I visited during the cherry blossom season and the park was great. I went on a weekday but there was still ample seating for hanami sheets or just for walking around. I was able to take several photos of the sakura without anyone in the background.

There's a sign for no dogs in the parking lot. Is this new? I must have been confused. The 24 hour park is very wrong. They have seasonal hours when they close up the parking lot.
