Daishi Park — Attraction in Kawasaki

This place is fantastic four small children over on the east side with the sand pit and a small pirate ship to play in. As well as very large grassy space with large mature trees to provide shade. On the east side of the park is a much larger play area meant for a little bit older children with toys like, a zipline, super roller slide, large bridges between pieces of equipment, and a sandpit as well. There is also a very small child play area on the east side that has a plastic toy set.

The other fantastic thing about this park is that there are public restrooms on both sides as well as vending machines throughout the park. The part gets very busy after 10 a.m. on the weekends usually. Prior to 10 a.m. the baseball fields are full and people waiting to use them.

I've been going to this park with my kids for the last 3 years. The children loved it and they always request to come...

I love this park. Kids will definitely enjoy the long rolling slide and the other playground equipment. The park is big, with a large lawn, you can bring your tent and have a picnic. There are benches but not picnic tables, and barbeque is not allowed.

There's also a stream of water and a fountain, when it's warm the kids can jump right in and cool down.

You'll also find vending machines for drinks and ice cream. Just the toilet is a bit old and smelly.

It's not far from Kawasaki Daishi, the temple, and the shotengai (shopping street) that leads to it. Highly recommended the warabi mochi shop with its different flavors and the sesami shop, selling a delicious black sesami ice cream 🍦

There's a car park, but it gets busy quickly, and cars will often line up for a while until a slot opens. Might be better taking a train. The closest station is less than 10...

Huge park with 2.5 playgrounds, a fountain, a scenic Chinese park area with a large pond and koi fish and turtles, and a public pool. Only shame was that the grass was a little long. I heard that maintenance was primarily done by volunteers and via donation money. Was easily 5 stars 4 years ago when I last went, but had always been better cared for then. Hopefully its a temporary thing.

And convenient store is 5 minute walk away... for when drinks need to be replenished 😉
