Maruo Falls — Attraction in Kirishima

Really easy to access with car parking just on the road next to the pavilion. Nice place to sit and relax wine enjoying the sound of the falling water. You can see the unique stone formations formed by cooling lava behind the waterfall. Not the grandest waterfall but it’s not very often you can get to see one this effortlessly, and since parking was free as well and since there almost were no people, I’d happily stop by again next time I...

This falls is in Maruo Onsen area. If you walk from Maruo Onsen, it will take about 10 minutes to get there.

There is a trail network around the falls you can enjoy. But if you are not a hiking fan, you can also enjoy the view of the Maruo Falls from the road. This spot, you don't have to hike at all.
