The rudest tax-free staff I have ever met in my life, number one in all the countries I have ever visited. The male staff member in a black t-shirt (with printed eyes image) who worked on Sunday, September 7th, was extremely rude and impolite.
He seemed racist and disliked tourists. It was very strange that he worked in the tax refund department, which of course involves dealing with tourists. He sighed heavily repeatedly and made disapproving noises, clicked his tongue, and tapped the table like a crazy guy. He made sure we knew that he is beyond annoyed with us.
He handled customer items (phones, passports, ecc) rudely and impatiently. His face was full of displeasure. He occasionally spoke Japanese while complaining to his friends. Be careful, tourists can use a translator to understand what he was saying. Very rude and unprofessional.
We apologized and thanked him repeatedly for helping because we do not understand the refund system, but the staff member remained annoyed and rude throughout the process. I was quite surprised because, as a Japanese staff member, he was much ruder than those from other countries. Japan is known for its professionalism and good attitude. Moreover, he works in a place that serves tourists.
By the way, I wrote this because the level of rudeness was outrageous and the people he served were 2 elderly people (70-80 years old) who were abused. They were even ready to give up and not get a tax refund, but they were also afraid of canceling in the middle of the process because the staff was aggressive and intimidating. I don’t want to be harsh but I think this review...

Read moreDON’T BUY the bus ticket + shopping coupon BUNDLE! It was a scam.
A one-way bus ticket ( Tokyo)to the outlet was ¥1400 and a bundle ticket with 5 pcs of ¥500 coupons each (total value ¥2500) was selling at ¥3150. It stated that it could be used for shopping and dining. But i found not even a shop or a restaurant would accept the coupon. This means i overpaid more than double for my one-way bus ticket which is ridiculous. So DON’T BUY THE BUS TICKET BUNDLE!
Tax-free refund procedures were complicated and not user-friendly. Need to download an app, and then follow the steps to fill in the information that was ok and clear. But once it is required to scan the QR code it's not working, and not all the shop receipts with QR code too. So finally i gave it up.
The good thing was it was a nice place with many Japanese brand outlets and lots of choices of restaurants.
If you do not buy the ticket bundle and not going to do the tax refund, it is worth going to...
