Space LABO (Kitakyushu City Science Museum) — Attraction in Kitakyushu

I visited SPACE LABO in mid-June to watch their planetarium show. The planetarium is huge and I don’t think I have been to any other planetarium with such a huge screen before. The show I joined was about finding Venus in the sky of Kitakyushu. The planetarium guide used the huge screen to mimic the sky and guided us on how to find Venus and other constellations. The whole show was very inspiring and I must say the guide did a very good job.

Although I did not visit the exhibition due to time constraints, seeing the robot next to the entrance using wooden blocks to build a city, the exhibition itself must be very interesting.

案内人の方がすごい🌏🌙⭐︎ とりあえず北九州行くならと言うことで有名なこちらへ。1時間前から予約受け付けとのことで朝予約。到着してまずGoogleマップとの違いを確認。Googleマップって現地と地図で結構なタイムラグあってそれを確認するのも旅の楽しみの一つです。スペースワールド跡地は見る影もなく発展した都市に生まれ変わっておりました。建物を目の当たりにしましたが真新しくて綺麗で未来感ある造形です。そして押し寄せる小学生😂プラネタリウム予約しなくて良かった、と胸を撫で下ろしたところでなんとか入場して常設展示室へ。展示物は全て子供目線の子供向けの子供が夢中になって喜べそうなものばかり。少年化学文化会館が赤坂にあった頃、私も夢中で遊んだなあとしみじみ。この二階の常設展示場のほぼ全ての設備施設は私は大人なので物足りない☺️正味五分で飽きました私文系なもので😂 まあこんなものかととっとと出ようとしたら白衣のいかにも施設関係者的な方に遭遇。あれよあれよとナビゲーションして頂く流れに。案内された3階は2階の子供向けフロアとは違い大人も楽しめる宇宙の歴史についてでした。それをこのガイドの方がはきはと事細かに解説。下手なオーディオブックより解り易く機能性に優れています。それまでの肩透かし感が嘘のように一気に楽しくなりました。宇宙は知らないことだらけ❗️ そんな感じでお礼を言ったら次は他の常設展示室も案内しますよと。そこで1階にも展示室があることを知り向かうんですがこの方が道行くお婆さんやたむろしてる学生集団の皆さんなど誰彼構わず巻き込んで青空教室みたいに説明を始めるのです。張り切り過ぎて突然話振られた中学生の子驚いてました😂キャラが強い😂 そして中学生の子達も素直に講習を受けてフリーダムなのにちゃんとガイド出来てて凄いなーと。その後台風について説明をして頂きましたが台風発生装置がカラフルで綺麗でした。これは映えますよ そんな感じでこの偶然出会えたスペース張り切りおじさんのお陰で初めての来館が非常に楽しいものになりました。御来館の際は是非この方に出会われることをお勧めします❗️科学や宇宙の楽しさが何倍も何十倍も跳ね上がること...
