Takaraga Pond — Attraction in Kyoto

Takaraga Pond and Takaragaika Park are around Kyoto International Conference Center in short walking distance and can be reached by Kyoto Karasuma Subway Line .

There are cherry blossom and other flower trees growing around the Pond, and there are cats, deer, and other animal in the park and around the Pond. It is NOT unusual for visitors to see the deer and cats when walking around the Pond. Cats around the Pond seem to be well taken care, including feeding. The Park and Pond are NOT extraordinarily large, but they are suitable for the residents of area communities and hotels around, when Park and Pond are rather tranquil, although trees in the Park may need some sort of gardening attentions, because trees are not well pruned, especially some broken branches.

Pond and Park are NOT crowded and are not well known for foreign visitors. Also, it seems that there are a few more morning joggers and seniors who are having their morning exercise. Otherwise, Park and Pond are relatively quiet, unless there are student outing or picnic in the Park or a few young people who go there for dating picnic. ..
