Amazing park with gorgeous views, fauna and flora. In the summer, row boats and peddle boats are available for hire on the water. Fish, turtles and bird life are in abundance. There are several hiking trails clearly marked around the park with views of Kyoto. Sakura blossoms in the spring, exploding maple leaves in the Autumn and snow during the winter (occasionally). Toilets without paper..but there is one very clean toilet, (with toilet paper) in the cafe next to...

Takaragaike park is my favourite park to stroll, jog or ride around. Bring a picnic basket, and some bread to feed the ducks, birds, fish and turtles. If your lucky, you might see some deer. Throughout the season, the landscape changes colours. It's absolutely amazing. Takaragaike park turns into a winter wonderful when snow falls. There are amazing hiking trails as well! You won't be disappointed visiting...

Lovely, relaxing park to walk, cycle or jog around! It’s very close to Kokusaikaikan (spelling?) Station and the bus station too! There’s lots of space to play sports, a quaint river to sit by, and I was really lucky to pass by on a day when there was food stalls and some music!
