I didn't actually go to the Onsen. (There's actually a nice cheap onsen close by, but I'll let that be something to see if you can stumble upon.) I do bet the onsen is nice however. I'd like to talk about the food. Japanese style pizza is an interesting thing. Most of the time when I'm overseas, I'd like to eat as authentic as possible to the traditional cuisine. However, it's also nice to try eating things that are a spin off of what is the culinary tradition from another place. So I had pizzas here twice. The first one included multiple types of mushrooms and Japanese Mountain veggies. The other pizza included potatoes and sausages with a fairly normal red sauce. Both were interesting, and worth the try. I would say though the first pizza I mentioned was a lot better, however, the second type of pizza was worth the try at least once. This isn't my favorite type of food, but I'd say it's worth a shot, I definitely won't forget the experience. It's still good food. Hence 4 star review.

I really quite like the vibe here. The Ramen was really good. It reminds me of what a 90s ski lodge used to feel like. Nothing special some old couches normal tables. The bathing experience is nice they give you shampoo etc. the price is reasonable they don’t kick you out very easy-going and actually reliably open with a lot of things in this area or not in the summer. Also if you’re wearing any brass or silver jewelry remember to take it off or else it will stain your skin from the sulfur !

Avoid this restaurant! I have never had such a bad experience in all of Japan. The food was very bad, tasteless and 3 out of 5 people got enterocolitis. I have eaten at fast food restaurants before, but this was a nightmare. Otherwise the staff is friendly and the location is welcoming. Too bad the products consumed in the restaurant...
